The enigmatic architecture of the Theatine architect Guarino Guarini shaped and amazed Baroque Turin. There are many questions about the origin of its architecture, which does not appear to have Italian origins but influences from Eastern architecture, with particular reference to the Georgian and Armenian areas. From these comparisons arise forms, geometries, spatial compositions, decorations, which appear so distant from the Baroque Italy of the second half of the seventeenth century.
