Montemagno Monferrato is built on a rare urban structure.

The village, in fact, develops around the castle, branching out in the shape of a diamond with twelve historic alleys named after Roman numerals.

The entrance of the village is through the Casa sul Portone, an ancient medieval doorway, which provides access to one of the most scenic squares in Montferrat, Piazza San Martino, where a grand staircase leads the gaze towards the entry to the neoclassical parish church of San Martin and Saint Stephen, with Baroque-style interiors, and towards the castle behind it.

Unmissable for their architectural and pictorial beauty are the Baroque Scalea, the Church of Santa Maria della Cava and the Romanesque Church of Saint Vittore.
